When people ask me "What do you do ?", my answer used to be ... Solutions Broker, People Connector, Business Development Guy etc etc.
Now my answer is "I collect people". Because it's such a different answer, it has become a very good conversation point.
From Innovation point of view, the most important thing after you come up with the idea is to get the right people on your side. This is easily said than done. Contrary to the popular belief, most ideas and projects fail not because of funding, approach, methodology etc etc etc, its because they failed to get the right mix of people to bring the idea in to life.
So next time you come up with a brilliant idea, don't worry about "how" or 'when" you going to do it. Just let your subconscious mind work on "who" are the right people you need to make it happen. This step can take days, weeks, months or even years. So an idea may sit for a long time in your head, but as soon as the right people come to your life, it will start to take off the ground at an amazing pace.
So be patient ... give your subconscious mind the time and space it needs to find the best team to make your idea an amazing success.
